Exam Week at Hononegah High School

Five teams spent the morning at Rock Cut Elementary School in the Harlem District; 3 are pictured here with Principal Ryan Reinecke. This was in response to a situation at the school. Our prayers and thought are with the students and staff.

Shop with a Cop - 12/9/23

11 members of the 815PAWS Therapy Dog Club helped the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department bring a little joy to area kids at 'Shop with a Cop'. Approximately 250 youth were able to shop at Target & Meijer's on Hwy 173 in Machesney Park.

Stroll on State 11/25/2023

9 members of 815PAWS participated for the 2nd year of the Stroll on State Parade. We thought the weather was going to be cold, but was actually pretty nice, about 35 degrees, sunny, light breeze. Everyone had a great time.

Fire Station Training Experience - W.O.W.

Many thanks to the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department, everyone was amazed with the tour and demo's. It was great.

And thanks to Firefighter/EMT West, Lieutenant Lackley for running the training experience and Firefighter/Paramedic Theisen for explaining the processes.

I want to say a special thanks to: Deputy Chief Briggs, Division Chief Grant, Battalion Chief Jones for letting their team take time out of their day to provide such a valuable opportunity to 815PAWs. Even though we didnt' get a group picture with the Firefighters (due to a call at the last minute). It was GREAT.

6 Team members took some extra time afterward to reward themselves with a treat at McDonald's and received a little extra training.

815PAWS members took turns sitting with the students on Nov. 2nd, as many first time donors volunteered to give blood. 90 Pints were donated, W.O.W.

Our 4th annual Pet Parade at Grand Victorian Senior Living, Mulford in Rockford. We also made a stop at Independence Village on North Alpine.

Our 1st Halloween Parade to the courthouse. And a quick stop at Rock Valley Credit Union. October 30, 2023

815PAWS visited the Coroner's Office Oct. 26. It was great, learned a lot and Jernnifer Muraski had a lot of information for us.

Four members of the Winnebago Sheriff's Therapy Dog Team supported the Youth Explorer Summer Camp, Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

June 24, Summertime Puppy Party at Tom & Meg's. We have lots of Goldens in our group, but be mindful, we take any dog that can pass the test. I can't wait til the fall party, sometime in early October.

The Pet Expo was a long hot day, we had 7 volunteers helping out. Here Waylon, Mya, & Gracie get some well deserved light therapy toward the end of the day. Thanks to Lisa for her tent.
